The Ron Kobayashi Band gets the weekend started with classic Billboard hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s! Pianist and composer Ron Kobayashi has performed with a variety of musical artists including Mel Torme, Peter Frampton, Kenny Burrell, Tom Scott, Margaret Whiting, Peter White among others.
Almost six decades in music have brought me to this point. Having fun and playing blues at this beautiful place. From my first recordings to playing live I’ve always looked forward to what’s next. The groups we’ve put together for these blues nights are all slightly different.
Elena Gilliam, named a Living Legend of Jazz in 2013 by the Living Legends of Jazz and Blues Foundation of Los Angeles, is one of Southern California’s most beloved jazz vocalists. With a voice often compared to icons like Lena Horne, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, and Dinah Washington, she enchants audiences with her rich, eloquent tones and masterful phrasing.
The legendary Jimmy Hopper is known for his high-energy concerts and diverse musical style.
Starting at the age of 4 Corey Redgrift began his musical journey as a classical piano player that over time absorbed many differing styles into his playing including jazz, pop, rock, and video game music. He covers popular songs from the 70’s to the present and while keeping faithful to the originals still manages to put his own personal spin on them.
Al Valdez started his music career at the age of 13, fronting his own band and has since dedicated his life to music. He has been a fixture in Orange County for decades, having played at venues such as Cano’s, Nieuport 17, The Mission Inn among others.
